Village Agent Information
What is a Village Agent?
Do you sometimes not know where to turn for help? Renhold has a Village Agent who can visit you at home free of charge, to help you fill in forms, and explain to you what services and support might be available.
This might include:
- feeling safer at home
- becoming healthier
- pensions and benefits
- support for carers
- transport options
- joining a local group
- local volunteering opportunities
- housing issues
- or anything else
Village and Community Agents can visit you at home or talk to you on the phone. All Agents are Disclosure and Barring Service checked and will operate in the strictest of confidence.
The Village Agent for Renhold is Lydia Wright. Lydia also covers Colmworth, Great Barford, Little Barford, Ravensden, Roxton, Wilden, Wyboston, Elstow and Wixams. She can be reached on 0800 039 1234.
On the 12th April 2019, Teresa (the previous Village Agent) came to speak and share her knowledge at the Renhold Chapel Coffee Morning. Teresa now works for Tibbs Dementia Foundation.
What is BRCC?
Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC) is the leading community development agency working across Bedfordshire, with a proven track record built up over 60 years. BRCC also serves as the Rural Community Council (RCC) for Bedfordshire, one of the 38 RCCs in England working under the National Umbrella Body, ACRE.
