Bedford Art Society
Bedford Art Society was founded in 1954 as the Bedford Art Circle. The Society exists to promote local interest in the visual arts. It enables those with any interest in art to hear talks, to see practical demonstrations, to exhibit their work in the Society's exhibitions, to visit art galleries and to take part in a number of practical opportunities for enjoying art. It is a non-profit making organisation run by a committee and chaired by Andy Graham. The Society has a vibrant mix of members ranging from professionally trained and amateur artists to members who simply take an interest in the arts and, although not creatives, are nevertheless great supporters and enthusiasts.
You can find more information about Bedford Art Society on their website here.
Guy Scott was for many years Director of Art at Stowe School. He trained in Fine Art and has exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists in London. He has also exhibited in Scotland and at the National Trust in The New Inn at Stowe. He is patron of his local art society (BAFA) and has lectured at art societies all over the country.
